Rather than using a sling-shot, Nisbet‘s weapon of choice is the construction of an artificial reef just off its shore.

Historical Society Recognizes Nisbet Plantation

The Heritage Trail/Nevis
Historical Society presented the resort with a sign
recognizing the plantation as the ancestral home of
Fanny Nisbet, wife of British hero, Admiral Lord Horatio
Nelson. |
Meet the Nelsons
The plantation
hasn't changed all that much since they left the island,
so Fanny Nisbet felt quite at home on her recent return
with her husband Admiral Lord Horatio Nelson. They were, however, quite astonished to find that the dining room did have air conditioning. Admiral and Lady Nelson (Fanny) returned to Nevis to help celebrate the 200th Anniversary of the Battle of Trafalgar - the naval engagement in the Napoleonic Wars that established British naval supremacy in Europe. |
