Cat Ghut
Golfers will definitely appreciate the quirky little "Cat Ghaut" golf course that runs through a nature preserve. Roger Staiger, a retiree from Ohio, built twelve holes (short par 3) on 15 acres around his home on Nevis and welcomes visitors.
There's a minimal charge for visitors to play and Nevisians can play free. There's even a little "clubhouse" where you can borrow clubs and balls and get in out of the sun for a cool drink. Plan to bring a ball marker or logo ball from your club to add to the collection. They become little goodwill ambassadors and give you something to talk about with Roger.
And, if you're feeling really adventurous, you could fly or set sail for the island of St. Kitts, where you could shop for local art, fragrances, and gifts. Not to mention appreciate a deep sense of history and culture.
