Many of our guests prefer to stay close to the resort and soak up its incredibly relaxing atmosphere. And why not? It's a great beach community away from the maddening crowd, where the buzzing of jet skis is never heard.

As a place where easy living is the sole pursuit, we've done all we can to ensure that finding your brand of relaxation is as effortless as possible. So whether you're looking for a sporting experience, some exercise, or merely a light diversion, we've brought them all together for you. In fact, we offer:

• An oceanfront freshwater pool with hot tub
• A tennis court complete with rackets and balls
• An island-style croquet lawn
• Snorkeling just off our sandy beach
• Golf at Nevis' own Robert Trent Jones championship course. Or we will be happy to arrange reservations to golf on St. Kitts. For a completely original and inexpensive golfing experience, we recommend an outing at Cat Ghaut, a nine-hole par-3 mini-course just 5 minutes from the resort.
• The Palms Spa
• Fitness Centre with Cybex equipment
• Car Rental - Car and Jeep rentals can be arranged through the hotel. You will need a valid National Driver's License and EC$50 (US$25) to receive a temporary Nevisian license. (Just remember we drive on the LEFT!)

Thursday Night BBQ

Join in the fun at our Thursday Night Surf & Turf Beach BBQ, one of the island's most popular events. The BBQ includes cocktails at the Managers Rum Punch Party, dinner and a lively Caribbean band that gets everyone dancing. Our team of chefs will grill a feast of shrimp, grouper, blue marlin, mahi mahi, steak, and more, right before your eyes. Throughout the evening you'll be entertained by the rhythms of a local West Indian band. Afterwards, you can relax under the stars next to our pool. Don’t miss it!

Cycle Enthusiasts Welcome!

For a small island, Nevis surprisingly has numerous on-road and off-road bike trails and many hills. The road around the island has been repaved, allowing road bikers to enjoy a smooth ride and great views. There are also challenging trails for those who are into mountain biking.

Guests who are passionate about cycling can rent bikes and easily store them at Nisbet Plantation. Special facilities and added values offered to our cycling guests include:

• Cold beverage and refreshing, scented welcome facial towel upon arrival
• Complimentary afternoon tea served from 3:30-4:30pm daily; perfect after a day of island adventure cycling
• Late evening seating available in our gourmet, 4-Diamond Great House Dining Room
• In-room mini-bar loaded with customized snacks; please make requests while confirming reservation
• Early breakfast; regular full breakfast is served poolside on the beach from 8:00-10:00am daily
• Drying facilities for outdoor wear
• Information on local cycle runs and public transport

Scuba Diving

Since 1984, Scuba Safaris, Ltd. has been offering daily guided 2-tank boat dives to wrecks, reefs, caverns and canyons and snorkel excursions. Let dive master Ellis Chaderton and his staff take you below the surface in Nevis, to explore the virgin reefs among the majestic stands of pillar coral and long slender tube sponges. During certain times of the year, Ellis also leads whale watching expeditions in Nevis waters.

Hike Nevis' Rain Forests

Join Resident biologist and trail expert Jim Johnson as he takes you on one of 17 different educational hikes. Learn about Nevis’ history and about local plants. Or take on a challenging Nevis Peak/ Summit Climb. Explore the rain forest, see monkeys in their habitat, and learn about Nevis from a knowledgeable local. Sea Bridge Car Ferry

For day trips between Nevis and St. Kitts, you can rent a car and ride the Sea Bridge Car Ferry. The ferry holds 15 vehicles and takes approximately 15 minutes to travel between St. Kitts and Nevis.

Daily schedule 8am to 7pm:

• Leaves Nevis at 8am, 10am, 12pm, 2pm, 4pm & 6pm
• Leaves St. Kitts at 9am, 11am, 1pm, 3pm, 5pm & 7pm

Price ranges from US $50 to US $95 round trip depending on size of vehicle (trip must be done the same day). Additional person charge of US $12 round trip.
